Alison Hinds, globally celebrated as the Queen of Soca, is renowned for her powerful vocals and high-energy performances that have shaped Caribbean music for decades. Born in London and raised in Barbados, Alison discovered her passion for Caribbean music early on. She rose to fame with the band Square One, producing hits like “Faluma”—a Soca classic that topped charts for nearly a year in Central America.

Her solo journey began in 2005, culminating in the release of her debut album Soca Queen in 2007. The album included her international hit “Roll It Gal,” which charted on Billboard and featured in major Hollywood shows like Grey’s Anatomy. Alison's music is known for themes of love, unity, and empowerment, resonating deeply with fans across the Caribbean diaspora.

Throughout her career, Alison has consistently broken barriers for female artists. She’s performed at major global events—from headlining Rotterdam Carnival to singing the U.S. national anthem at an NBA game. She’s earned honors like Barbados Cultural Ambassador, the Brooklyn Proclamation, and became the first Soca artist interviewed on The Breakfast Club, highlighting her role as a cultural icon.

Beyond music, Alison is a passionate advocate for causes including AIDS awareness, women’s rights, and support for disabled children. Her influence extends beyond the stage as a humanitarian and role model. As a pioneer of modern Soca, Alison Hinds continues to inspire and uplift, leaving an indelible mark on the global music landscape.
